Dr. Murphy has over 13 years of experience in higher education, serving as a Professor and Program Director, Administrative Dean for Online Nursing Education, and Associate Dean of Nursing where she established residential and online Doctor of Nursing Practice and Nurse Practitioner Programs, designed the Nurse Practitioner curriculum and practicum infrastructure and launched an innovative Nurse Practitioner Skills & Simulation lab at one of the largest and successful Schools of Nursing in the U.S. Dr. Murphy is passionate about improving the health of individuals and populations and developing professional nurses who embrace nursing as a ministry of caring and service. In this episode, we will discuss Dr. Murphy’s journey from becoming a Nurse Practitioner to going into leadership roles where she now focuses on the next generation of nurse practitioners.
